i'm going to the jungles outside tarapoto, peru to do a few dietas and i'll be leaving mid- december. if anyone would like to come or meet me there, drop me a line. it makes more sense to have a big group going, and i enjoy translating.

Sun, November 16, 2008 - 3:21 PMHi Rebecca, Just a warning about Tarapoto: DO NOT stay at the Hotel Mansion. I was there before and there were lots of sneak thieves among the employees. Also the hotel that is kitty corner is owned by the same people and probably has a theft problem, too. They were skillful enough to have breached the locks on my packs. Although they took nothing of any great value, it wasn't a pleasant experience. -
