Hello,
I am seeking connection with people in my area, Pasadena, Ca., who can assist me in my quest to experience Ayahuasca. Can someone start me out, somehow? Where is a church, a meetup, a group...........anything? You may contact me privately, if you wish. To know who I am, if you are being careful, you may read about me at www.acupuncture-healer.com.
my email is kneadles@sbcglobal.net.
Thanks for any help, thank you, thank, you , thank you.
Gina

Re: New and called to try. Help?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 6:59 AMI am sure you are aware that ayahuasca is illegal in the United States, because it contains dimethyltryptamine. a Schedule I controlled substance. Possession or distribution of ayahuasca is a felony. The only current exception is for members of a specific church, the Uniao do Vegetal, at their regular church services.
I am also sure that you don't intend to get any members of this tribe into any trouble with the law. But you have appeared here out of nowhere, with no history of participation in this tribe, no membership in any other tribe, no friends, and a website anyone could have put up, asking for referrals to a controlled substance. You might expect to be greeted with some reserve.
There are places, such as Peru, where the use of ayahuasca is legal, if that is where your path takes you.

Re: New and called to try. Help?
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 1:02 PMdon luis is very traditional and an excellent place for curacion and renewal so to speak. as for aya tourism and wild rides someone might want to seek a more potent brew meant for such things. i can recommend kapitari for healing and restorative efforts and the teaching from aya, though my first ceremony was quite large in vision and visitation.
also if you are interested in perma culture and self sustaining systems he has a great deal to teach.

Re: New and called to try. Help?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 4:09 PMi think Shel hooked you on this one with the link to Luis Culquitón - while there are thousands of words in threads just in this tribe alone, what the hell just do it - think of it as a stunningly beautiful and mind blowing vacation in paradise. And down there you will not be subject to prison time for the crime of attempting healing and enlightenment by ingesting a plant that grows naturally out of the ground.
Horrible, ignorant, superstitious and tyrannical barbarians rule this land behind facades of smiling helpfulness, helping to keep the free market system safe in 180 countries around the world -

Some would consider it favorable that you are not overly versed in the etiquete of posting on forums, means you probably don't hang out with a computer all the time, like your very ignorance springs forth from face to face interactions :)
Welcome to the machine.
