Re: Article in National Geographic
Sat, February 18, 2006 - 10:03 AMI can give my personal endorsement to the Blue Morpho Healers! Don Alberto and Hamilton Souther are STRONG healers, and I give their lodge the highest possible recommendation in terms of the healing, learning and the fun times.
I was guided so well and recieved so much healing that I scarcely had the abiilty to open my mouth and say thankyou when my stay was finished. These guys are fun, too. I had some great laughs and great adventures at Blue Morpho.
I just recieved email from my best friend who is at the Blue Morpho right now for a month, dieting and drinking, and he has extended to me his joy and excitement, again (he was with me last Spring). I return to the Blue Morpho in May to work with Hamilton and Don Alberto for the second time and I couldn't be more excited.
What made Blue Morpho especially wonderful for me was having the presence of at least one shaman who grew up in the United States. I found it incredibly helpful. Hamilton's a good guy because he's been through the gamut of giving up the trappings of western "culture," so to speak.
There are many places to visit, if you want to drink the medicine, but, as far as these guys and their mesa is concerned, in my opinion,.....A++.
I hope this is helpful for anyone seeking.
Love and light--adam

Re: Article in National Geographic
Mon, February 20, 2006 - 4:13 PMIt's the second from National Geographic, they filmed there and then this article on Blue Morpho, pluse the Ny Times Sunday edition had a story last winter on Blue Morpho....they're doin some good work. It's certainly a testament to the power of the healing...but also, most definitely, to Blue Morpho. What makes Blue Morpho a killer place is that one of the shamans is from the United States...western cultural, more generally. It's easy for westerners to vibe with Ayahuasca when it can be contextualized a little bit, outside of the language of the Amazonian cosmology, which, to me, is neither here nor there, just helpful for some, I think.
Best--adam
