Seeking advice on how to travel with ayahuasca as part of your checked on luggage. The legal issues is not my concern- I am wondering if people can tell me the proper method(s) to bring it without the air-pressure causing it to fizz and burst inside my bag. Muchas gracias......

Wed, August 5, 2009 - 5:14 PMI doubt there's any danger of the bottles exploding. If you're concerned about air pressure changes, fill the bottles to the top.

Thu, August 6, 2009 - 4:03 PMperhaps you could put it in plastic bottles (but don't fill them all the way) and seal the lids with electrical tape or duct tape, and then put the bottles in a large ziploc bag. -

Thu, August 6, 2009 - 4:30 PMOr maybe if you do not fill them all the way, recap the plastic bottles while you are squeezing them to expel any air inside and give room for expansion of the liquid. Cap them while you are squeezing them so they have a slightly crushed appearance after they are capped. That way the bottle will expand if need be to full size once in the air. Air expands too so just adding air may not actually help.
But I've never actually done this before.
