Wishing you a meaning-full week. -Suchness October 10-13, 2008 (Columbus Day weekend) At Wilbur Hot Springs in Northern California, an 1800 acre private retreat Back by popular demand, the second Women's Visionary Congress (WVC) will again take place at the Wilbur Hot Springs Hotel and the nearby meadow campground. The WVC is a gathering of healers, researchers, activists and artists who study the traditional and contemporary uses of entheogens. This year's gathering will address the practical applications of visionary insight. Entheogens - substances that help change our consciousness - have been used by women since ancient times for healing and spiritual purposes. Midwives, herbalists and female shamans have passed down knowledge about entheogenic plants for centuries. Modern women are now advocating for legal reforms and engaged in scientific research that could reintegrate the beneficial uses of entheogens. The WVC is a benefit for the Women's Enthogen Fund We welcome interested women and men to join us at the beautiful Wilbur Hot Springs for a healing soak, yoga, delicious food, and a series of conversations with visionary women.
