Dear friends,

I want to be sure that you are all aware of this weekend retreat.

I have not been myself, but have heard great things and will be going this year.

Appreciate hearing comments from anyone who went last year.

Wishing you a meaning-full week.

October 10-13, 2008 (Columbus Day weekend)
At Wilbur Hot Springs in Northern California, an 1800 acre private retreat

Back by popular demand, the second Women's Visionary Congress (WVC) will again take place at the Wilbur Hot Springs Hotel and the nearby meadow campground. The WVC is a gathering of healers, researchers, activists and artists who study the traditional and contemporary uses of entheogens. This year's gathering will address the practical applications of visionary insight.

Entheogens - substances that help change our consciousness - have been used by women since ancient times for healing and spiritual purposes. Midwives, herbalists and female shamans have passed down knowledge about entheogenic plants for centuries. Modern women are now advocating for legal reforms and engaged in scientific research that could reintegrate the beneficial uses of entheogens. The WVC is a benefit for the Women's Enthogen Fund

We welcome interested women and men to join us at the beautiful Wilbur Hot Springs for a healing soak, yoga, delicious food, and a series of conversations with visionary women. Speakers at the 2008 WVC include Ann and Sasha Shulgin, Nicki Scully, Val Corral, Carolyn (Mountain Girl) Garcia, Allyson Grey, Cindy Palmer, Annie Mithoefer, Ilsa Jerome, June May Ruse, Debby Goldsberry, Mariavittoria Mangini, Annie King, Angel Raich, Jane Straight, Annie Harrison, Jennifer Dumpert, Ra Young Chung, and Lisa Rein. The gathering includes a special legal update from the ACLU Drug Law Reform Project and a full moon discussion circle on October 13th.

Tickets are $425 which includes all meals, camping and access to the hot springs. Rooms at the Wilbur Hot Springs Hotel are also available. For ticket information please contact Sarah at info@visionarycongress.org or call +1 831 252 0023.
