Is mans destiny the stars? Not just leaving our bodies behind and visiting but actually going? Nature provides the mind the mind provides us with the tools (hadron colliders)> Pachamamas dream starship that runs on creativity. Our creativity is hers. The stars anyone?

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 9:07 AMI don't know about our destiny, but our origin is certainly the stars. -

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 9:53 AM:) i think destination and origin are 1 and the same :) -

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 9:59 AMyes definatley, what do you think of the concept that science is just a tool of the Pachamama to spread life to the stars as part of an ongoing process of galactic nature? -
-
Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 10:07 AMFrom what I understand, it's already there. Bacteria, for instance, seems to spread readily, even in space.

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 10:16 AMi think everything here is Pachamamitas tool :) ...including me :)
...but yes ... i think everything is "evolving" or rather raising vibration to return to the source from whence it came.... and that then again it will all break apart in a shower of love... only to attract and be attracted to and by nebulous dusts forming other and more beautiful creation ... and that it will all keep spinning and turning and refining it's self until it is whole again... and round and round ... and that ... really ... both states exist now anyway ... i am just looking at it through the lens of time.... this is my ever developing idea of an ongoing process of cosmic nature. :)-

Thu, May 8, 2008 - 4:24 AMnice stella, i just brought this topic up because it seems that empirical science and animism would do well to work with each other. -

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 12:24 PMAn old Tim Leary acronym that Robert Anton Wilson also liked to use:
S.M.I.I.L.E: Space Migration, Intelligence Increase, Life Extension.

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 7:50 AMi wonder about this star connection? right now America is facing the loss of any ability to enter even our local space and I don't see this getting better. It looks like space is going to be relegated to free market capitalist enterprise and this will certainly not lead to imagination, being so firmly under the thumb of quarterly financial reports. I recall how compelling Kennedy's space challenge was and I think that we would need something like that to really push into space in any meaningful way - a supernational commitment to go into space purely for exploration and not only for exploitation.
I have always liked what Timothy Leary said regarding what should be our highest human aspirations, our goals:
mind expansion
life extension
space exploration
I'm just not so sure we'll be around long enough to make it into space? We surely will not make it if we persist in wasting our resources on maintaining lavish lifestyles for they rich elite while billions of humans go without even clean water to drink. I'm not even going to go into the solid plans our government - and China - have for space. On a very practical level right now anyway space is seen purely in terms of maintaining the status quo here on earth.
Will the future be more like Startrek or Bladerunner? -

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:23 AMthe future will be however we make it!
"SMILE" :)
there are many ways to reach space! you don't have to use oil and rocketships! though i understand how cool they look :)- ...
some shamans travel in space with out the physical body ... while some practitioners of vedic studies have learned to bring their physical bodies, and still other traditions have utilized their double.
... not to mention, if you wanna go to "space" with out this type of evolution, you can use revolution... ie: magnetism .which is an endless froce and supply of energy in the 3rd dimension .. there are many many alternatives... allow your imagination to fly, and so shall you. :) ... outerspace is really interwoven with innerspace!
blessings! -

what i mean is ... any and all futures do exist ... align yourself where you please. -

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:11 AMyes we can go into space without our bodies but i was thinking along the lines colonization of other stars actually spreading the DNA -
-
Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:57 AMwell i think by going with out our bodies to assess the situation, we will be subsequently be able to find better ways of bring our bodies, and better methods of travel ... i have seen models of ships using magnets ... 2 circular magnets .. one slightly smaller than the other and inside of the larger ... one positively charged, and the other negatively charged will spin infinitely... also taking into account the magnetic polarization of the celestial bodies and surrounding "nets" ... this would be a superb technology ....
... however i "believe" there are better ways ... this is a very limited "world view" this 3-d approach...
in times to come humans will learn how time and space are not the boundary we think they are... even to the physical body.

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:58 AM"ctually spreading the DNA"
hmmm... why do you wanna spread dna ? -
-
Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 12:04 PMIMHO our dna is not unique. -

Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 2:19 PMa read a book recently about the wardaman songlines and the night skies.
he says in that book that in creation times all the animals made th earth then the big spiritual went up to the night sky so you can walk ther dreamings as you see them move throught he sky, as is above is below, when the stars move into certain places donw below on earth you do certain behavours hold certain ceremonies initiations, etc they tell us when to collect ochre or fish or certain foods, ther stories are in the sky and on the ground. in this perspective there is no need to go to the stars as the stars are already with us. -
-
Re: Reaching for the Stars?
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 2:53 PM:) thats sweet! i think the stars are already with us! ... in many ways... i mean our very bodies and the substance of the earth came from the same origins as the other stars right? -
