clearly, a curandero/a would be a million times better than someone to just sit with you.

You can find a "sitter" for ayahuasca in South America. This plant teacher is certainly not one that lends itself to "amateurs" guiding one thru the experience. I believe the term you are looking for, in relation to using aya, is a "shaman" or "curandera/o"

"Since these substances are illegal in our sick society, by asking for a sitter in a public forum like this, you are opening a can of worms. You could be a law enforcement officer - note 0 freinds - or the would be siitter could be a law enforcement officer."

The second possibility is remote though possible, but the first (that the poster is a law enforcement officer) is not a risk. What could a sitter possibly be charged with? I would not hesitate to sit for someone who was in my area. There is no legal risk if the sitter does not provide the brew.

That said, I would not suggest using a stranger as a sitter. Get to know people first and you might be guided to the right person.

And it is not enough for the person to be spiritually oriented, they need to know something about Ayahuasca.

And Ayahuasca is not DMT (though DMT is usually a component of the experience) nor is it interchangeable with Salvia or other entheogens. Anyone considering doing Ayahuasca should thoroughly educate themselves about it first. I suggest going to www.forums.ayahuasca.com and reading the sticky posts in the Information, The Vine and Plant Spirits sections. There is a thread in Information section called "A Safety Guide for the Solitary Ayahuasca Drinker" that has a section discussing the role of a sitter. You could also post in Connections & Events section asking to find friends/kindred spirits in your area. That is probably the closest thing to an online portal of the kind you are asking about.

>>>Salvia or another legal substance<<<

Salvia has been declared illegal in many jurisdictions. This is an ongoing process. Check your latest state laws.

Since these substances are illegal in our sick society, by asking for a sitter in a public forum like this, you are opening a can of worms. You could be a law enforcement officer - note 0 freinds - or the would be siitter could be a law enforcement officer. You honestly do not have one single friend that could sit for you? Yes it would be best to have an experienced sitter but such is life.

Is there some portal site that will allow to find a spiritually aligned sitter?

I am progressing, and have learned (remembered) much, and am clearing much. I feel that an ayahuasca or other DMT related or other journey could help me see more clearly the entire picture, and my role in it, both sub-consciously and human. I'm searching with my human side, and looking for a cosmic connection.

If DMT would be difficult, Salvia or another legal substance is an option.

Are there forums designed to help pair sitters and students?
