i've always wanted to do ceremony with just women, to see how the work differs than a co-ed ceremony. -

Re: a safe place in Peru
Wed, June 11, 2008 - 10:25 AMFate gave me a gift by opening an opportunity for an all women's circle.
We found that we had a common bond of surviving some pretty extreme sexual assaults in our lifetimes. I'm not sure any of us would have discussed it with the same open vulnerability had there been any men present, even the chill dudes we know and love.
So... there was tremendous amount of healing and grounding for all of us, without the same guarded feeling that subconsciously used to go with our interactions when men were present.
We seemed to all get the same message:
"Be nicer to yourself. Take good care of your body. Chill out. It is all ok." -

Re: a safe place in Peru
Wed, June 11, 2008 - 11:20 AMSorry to jump in here (being a male and all) but definitely I like ceremonies where the balance is on the female side of things better than ceremonies that are mostly male. I've had the chance to sit in ceremony at least once before where it was just me, the curandero, and women, and I gotta say the energy was really nice.....
But uuhh, yeah, don't mind me here, interloper out!
